Overview
We are seeking a Technical Lead / CA Gen Developer to join a significant Mainframe-to-Cloud transformation project on a 12-month contract. The contractor will play a vital role in modernizing legacy applications, using extensive knowledge in CA Gen, COBOL, and Java while collaborating with various stakeholders and providing technical leadership in both Mainframe and Cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the modernization of legacy Mainframe applications.
- Deliver Mainframe-to-Cloud migration and transformation solutions.
- Utilize expertise in CA Gen COBOL and CA Gen Java within project environments.
- Conduct system analysis and performance engineering tasks.
- Manage stakeholder communication and provide project updates.
- Collaborate with teams on technical specifications and project goals.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices during the transformation process.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in CA Gen COBOL (Mainframe) and CA Gen Java (Cloud).
- Proven experience in delivering Mainframe-to-Cloud migration projects.
- In-depth knowledge of COBOL, Java, DB2, IMS, JCL, and MS SQL.
- Experience in performance engineering and system analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in complex programs.
- Insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
