Cyber Security Architect

Overview

The Cyber Security Architect role is an Outside IR35 contract position focused on delivering security architecture outputs for a Defence modernisation programme. The successful contractor will collaborate with Senior Security Architects and Digital Engineering stakeholders in a hybrid working environment to produce various security artifacts and frameworks that enhance the programme's security posture. This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on professionals experienced in applied security architecture and secure-by-design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver core security architecture outputs including Digital Engineering Security Artifacts and Engagement Report.
  • Develop the Security Requirements Specification and Security Principles Framework.
  • Create Infrastructure Mapping Document and Security Architecture Design Pack.
  • Conduct Threat Modelling and produce Threat Modelling Report.
  • Build and maintain a Reusable Security Pattern Library.
  • Prepare Knowledge Transfer Pack including training materials, handover content, and recorded walkthroughs.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Security Architecture and Security Consulting.
  • Strong track record in designing and reviewing secure infrastructure.
  • Proven application of secure-by-design principles.
  • Experience with Digital Engineering and secure architectural controls.
  • Familiarity with pattern-based design methodologies.
  • SC clearance is essential; DV preferred (or SC with ability to progress).
