Overview
The Data Analyst will focus on labour productivity within the hospitality sector, supporting a significant workforce productivity initiative for a multi-site business. The role requires expertise in data analysis and stakeholder management, as the analyst will collaborate closely with Finance and Operations to translate insights into actionable strategies that enhance labour productivity and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyze labour productivity metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations stakeholders to implement labour optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models to assess labour costs and profitability.
- Create and automate reports using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Utilize advanced SQL for data extraction and manipulation from data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
- Conduct demand-led scheduling and workforce analytics to align staffing with needs.
- Identify, measure, and report on the impact of productivity improvements on operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of analytics or data science experience in a multi-site environment, preferably within hospitality, retail, leisure, or QSR.
- Proficiency in advanced SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake.
- Strong financial modeling skills and a solid understanding of P&L and labour costs.
- Experience with BI tools for data visualization and reporting, including Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with rota, time & attendance, and payroll data systems.
- Demonstrated experience in labour optimization and analytics with measurable results.
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships to drive actionable insights.
