Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Platform Engineer to join our Data & Digitalisation team within the commodity trading sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building and scaling a new enterprise data platform, leveraging technologies such as Terraform and Kubernetes, to centralize fragmented data systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a transformative digital project, with a focus on both software development and platform engineering.
Responsibilities
- Build, develop and support a major enterprise data platform from scratch.
- Work extensively with Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure across multiple regions.
- Create and maintain Helm charts.
- Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Implement deployment technologies including ArgoCD.
- Set up and deploy new open-source tools and technologies.
- Write production-quality software and APIs, particularly using C#/.NET.
- Support backend services and APIs, with a focus on the data/platform aspects using Python.
Requirements
- Strong background in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Extensive experience with Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience creating and maintaining Helm charts.
- Familiarity with ArgoCD and other platform/deployment technologies.
- Proficient in developing APIs with Python and/or C#/.NET.
- Experience working with on-premises infrastructure and building platforms from scratch.
