Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps / Software Engineer to join our Data & Digitalisation team, focused on crafting a new enterprise data platform tailored for the Commodity and Energy Trading sector. This hybrid position involves collaboration with diverse teams to integrate and streamline data systems, leveraging open-source technologies on both Kubernetes and on-premises infrastructure. Ideal candidates will combine software engineering capabilities with strong DevOps skills to build and maintain robust applications and infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build, develop, and support a major enterprise data platform from scratch.
- Work extensively with Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure across multiple regions.
- Build and maintain Helm charts for application deployments.
- Utilize Kubernetes to deploy and manage containerized applications.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD and other deployment technologies.
- Set up and deploy new open-source tools and technologies.
- Write production-quality software and APIs, primarily in Python and C#/.NET.
- Support backend services and APIs within the specified tech stacks.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Experience in creating and maintaining Helm charts.
- Knowledge of ArgoCD for continuous deployment.
- Strong development skills in Python and/or C#/.NET.
- Experience working with on-premises infrastructure and building platforms from scratch.
