Overview
We are seeking a backend-focused .NET Developer for an initial three-month remote contract. In this role, you will collaborate with an experienced engineering team to design, develop, and maintain APIs, web services, and gRPC services that support advanced technology platforms in the automotive sector. The position emphasizes clean code practices and offers the opportunity to tackle complex engineering problems in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using C# and modern .NET technologies.
- Design, build and support ASP.NET Core APIs and web services.
- Develop and maintain gRPC services and communication layers.
- Contribute to scalable, reliable service-based and distributed architectures.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code that meets quality and performance expectations.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions and collaborative technical decision-making.
- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve software issues across services and applications.
- Work within an Agile engineering environment and coordinate effectively with other engineers.
Requirements
- Commercial experience developing software applications using C#.
- Strong knowledge of .NET Core or modern .NET technologies.
- Substantial experience designing, developing or supporting APIs and web services with ASP.NET Core.
- Practical experience building and maintaining gRPC services.
- Sound understanding of service-oriented architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience using Git and following modern software development practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
- Relevant experience in advanced engineering, automotive, IoT, aerospace, or other physical-product environments is a plus.
