Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team for a three-month contract focused on modern Microsoft Azure architecture. This remote position is ideal for an experienced cloud professional proficient in infrastructure automation and cloud migration initiatives. The engineer will work closely with project stakeholders to enhance cloud infrastructure and implement best practices for secure and reliable delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure according to modern architecture principles.
- Use Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration for consistent deployments.
- Contribute to cloud migration initiatives by planning and executing infrastructure changes.
- Support Azure IaaS and PaaS environments, focusing on networking and identity components.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure controlled infrastructure delivery.
- Utilize PowerShell and scripting to automate operational processes and improve efficiency.
- Apply security governance measures to deliver secure, resilient cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate progress, risks, and document operational procedures.
Requirements
- Solid commercial experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, including infrastructure configuration management.
- Deep expertise in modern Azure cloud architecture with a strong understanding of IaaS and PaaS services.
- Experience with Azure networking and identity management is essential.
- Proven background in building or supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages for task automation.
- Understanding of cloud security governance practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or Terraform Associate) are preferred, but equivalent commercial experience is acceptable.
