EUC Engineer

Overview

The Senior Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer will play a critical role in a large-scale technology integration programme following a major acquisition. This hands-on position involves serving as the subject matter expert (SME) for Azure Virtual Desktop while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve successful integration and migration outcomes in Azure infrastructure, identity, security, and modern end-user computing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, configure and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
  • Manage Host Pools, Application Groups, Workspaces, Session Hosts, and Scaling Plans.
  • Create and optimize golden images and automate image build/deployment processes.
  • Implement Azure infrastructure aligned to approved architecture.
  • Support application packaging, virtualization, and deployment.
  • Configure and administer Microsoft Entra ID, PIM, and Identity Governance.
  • Develop PowerShell automation and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Experience with FSLogix Profiles & App Masking.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, PIM, and Identity Governance.
  • Solid PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Understanding of Azure Networking and Azure Security.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Windows 11 Enterprise.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
