Overview
We are seeking a Freelance Unity Developer to join our small studio and contribute to the development of a new mobile game from the ground up. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of technical decisions and collaborate directly with two non-technical founders. The ideal candidate should have experience shipping mobile games in Unity, particularly with a focus on 3D elements, and possess an understanding of American football.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement gameplay mechanics and features using Unity.
- Collaborate with non-technical founders to translate the game vision into technical specifications.
- Take ownership of technical decisions and guide the development process.
- Create and optimize 3D assets for mobile platforms.
- Ensure high-quality performance and user experience in the game.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Unity Developer, specifically for mobile games.
- Strong proficiency in working with 3D elements in Unity.
- Experience taking a game project from concept to live deployment.
- Familiarity with American football, including its rules and mechanics.
- Freelance experience preferred, with the ability to work independently.
