Overview
We are seeking two experienced Full Stack Engineers for an initial six-month contract position with a software house focused on a project for a global pharmaceutical company. The successful candidates will collaborate with a development team to ensure applications are reliable and ready for deployment, while also engaging in code reviews, release validations, and issue troubleshooting. This role offers the flexibility of remote work within the UK.
Responsibilities
- Review code and validate application releases to ensure safety and readiness for deployment.
- Troubleshoot issues in existing applications and implement solutions.
- Develop and maintain applications using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Utilize Next.js for front-end development and PostgreSQL/SQL for database management.
- Conduct unit and integration testing using Jest or Vitest.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity.
- Ensure best practices are followed for application security and performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in full stack development with TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Next.js framework for building user interfaces.
- Strong skills in PostgreSQL and SQL for database interactions.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, preferably with Jest and Vitest.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and Git version control workflows.
- Understanding of AWS, Cloudflare, or Supabase is advantageous.
- Ability to navigate and contribute to unfamiliar codebases autonomously.
- Strong focus on balancing speed, quality, and risk in software development.
