Overview
We are seeking a senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the development of a new internal operating platform for a rapidly growing UK sports and leisure operator. This role involves shaping the product architecture and building its initial production release while collaborating with the client and data engineering leads to deliver impactful solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Build the staff-facing operating platform from the ground up.
- Integrate with an existing central data/API layer.
- Deliver core views including club performance metrics, customer analytics, and operational metrics.
- Implement authentication and role-based access.
- Own architecture, deployment, continuous integration/continuous deployment, testing, and production readiness.
- Help define and prioritise the initial release features.
- Work closely with the client and data engineering lead.
Requirements
- Strong senior full-stack engineering experience.
- Proven ability to take a product from the conceptual stage to production.
- Strong front-end and backend/API development skills.
- Experience with operational platforms, B2B SaaS, or internal systems.
- Ability to work independently and make informed technical/product decisions.
- Strong communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly desirable experience in sports, fitness, leisure, memberships, bookings, or multi-site businesses.
- Familiarity with a likely tech stack that includes React, Next.js, TypeScript, SQL, and cloud technologies.
