Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join a rapidly growing technology business on an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension. This fully remote role will focus on developing innovative solutions using a range of programming frameworks and technologies, collaborating with a dedicated team to deliver quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using Java and Angular.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
- Utilize data streaming technologies, including Kafka, to enhance application performance.
- Implement AI-assisted coding techniques to streamline development processes.
- Manage AWS environments and optimize cloud resources.
- Conduct automated testing and ensure code quality through CI/CD practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects as they arise.
- Participate in code reviews and share best practices with team members.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java programming language.
- Experience with Micronaut and/or Spring Boot frameworks.
- Proficient in data streaming technologies, particularly Kafka.
- Solid experience with Angular framework.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools, specifically Claude Code.
- Knowledge of Terraform and automated testing frameworks like Cucumber is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and practices is desirable.
