Overview
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Python Developer for a fully remote, six-month contract role, serving our B2B SaaS product tailored for home energy brands. This position involves collaboration with the Engineering Lead and Product Owner to independently build and deploy production features using an AI-assisted development workflow. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in AWS, TypeScript, React, and Python to enhance our platform and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop production features across the full stack using TypeScript, React, Python, and REST APIs.
- Translate design specifications into working features that maintain design intent.
- Independently manage the full lifecycle of assigned tasks, including development, testing, and deployment.
- Utilize Claude Code for development, ensuring production-quality code that aligns with existing architecture.
- Collaborate with the Product Designer to resolve edge cases and maintain design fidelity during implementation.
- Engage with the AWS stack (Athena, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Amplify, and CloudFront) to support feature delivery.
- Write and optimize SQL for data access and application support.
- Contribute to team practices for AI-assisted development, including documenting workflows.
Requirements
- Several years of full stack engineering experience, particularly in early-stage builds.
- Proficient in AWS services, specifically Athena, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Amplify, and CloudFront.
- Strong skills in TypeScript and React, including components, hooks, and state management.
- Experience with Python for backend development and API services.
- Demonstrated SQL skills in querying, data modeling, and debugging.
- Experience in consuming and developing REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD workflows.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a contract role within established processes.
