Overview
We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Project Manager to oversee the implementation of a new finance and ERP platform for a prominent UK Mental Health organization. This fully remote role requires the contractor to take full ownership of the project from initiation through to successful go-live, collaborating closely with software vendors, implementation partners, and key stakeholders across Finance and Technology. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in delivering finance systems replacements or ERP implementations while managing complex project dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Own the finance systems implementation from mobilisation through to go-live.
- Build and manage the overall project plan against the April delivery deadline.
- Coordinate the software vendor and implementation partners.
- Manage stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and the wider organisation.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and escalations.
- Coordinate data migration, testing, UAT, and business readiness activities.
- Manage cutover planning and transition into BAU.
- Provide clear reporting and governance throughout the programme.
Requirements
- Strong project management experience within finance systems or ERP implementations.
- Proven track record of delivering finance system replacements end-to-end.
- Experience managing software vendors and third-party implementation partners.
- Strong finance and senior stakeholder management experience.
- Ability to manage complex project plans, dependencies, risks, and milestones.
- Understanding of data migration, testing/UAT, cutover, and go-live processes.
- Familiarity with governance, RAID, and project reporting frameworks.
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Xero is advantageous but not essential.
