Information Technology Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Project Manager to oversee the implementation of a new finance and ERP platform for a prominent UK Mental Health organization. This fully remote role requires the contractor to take full ownership of the project from initiation through to successful go-live, collaborating closely with software vendors, implementation partners, and key stakeholders across Finance and Technology. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in delivering finance systems replacements or ERP implementations while managing complex project dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the finance systems implementation from mobilisation through to go-live.
  • Build and manage the overall project plan against the April delivery deadline.
  • Coordinate the software vendor and implementation partners.
  • Manage stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and the wider organisation.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and escalations.
  • Coordinate data migration, testing, UAT, and business readiness activities.
  • Manage cutover planning and transition into BAU.
  • Provide clear reporting and governance throughout the programme.

Requirements

  • Strong project management experience within finance systems or ERP implementations.
  • Proven track record of delivering finance system replacements end-to-end.
  • Experience managing software vendors and third-party implementation partners.
  • Strong finance and senior stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to manage complex project plans, dependencies, risks, and milestones.
  • Understanding of data migration, testing/UAT, cutover, and go-live processes.
  • Familiarity with governance, RAID, and project reporting frameworks.
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or Xero is advantageous but not essential.
