Infrastructure Architect

Overview

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will work onsite in Basingstoke as part of a multi-skilled agile team supporting a leading Defence and National Security IT provider. The role involves liaising directly with senior customer stakeholders, defining infrastructure requirements, and designing secure, large-scale infrastructure solutions. Your expertise will drive the successful delivery of technical proposals and manage service transition while ensuring compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of the delivery of technical proposals, ensuring alignment to the client's vision.
  • Design infrastructure solutions compliant with security standards.
  • Work directly with customers to define and elaborate infrastructure requirements.
  • Deploy production implementations through to successful project completion and service transition.
  • Manage third parties and requests for change, ensuring no impact on the overall architectural solution.
  • Interact with multiple internal areas and senior customer stakeholders to drive collaboration across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Contribute to a multi-skilled agile team where cross training and shared challenges are expected.

Requirements

  • Active DV Clearance as a UK Sole National.
  • Extensive knowledge in the design and implementation of secure, large-scale infrastructures.
  • Client-facing skills at a senior level, with the ability to communicate ideas to senior executives.
  • Experience deploying production implementations through to service transition.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows systems administration in an enterprise environment.
  • Relevant architecture certification such as TOGAF is desirable.
  • Experience managing third parties and change control against an architectural baseline is advantageous.
