Overview
The Interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead critical technology transformation initiatives within a growing technology organization in the healthcare sector. This role involves working closely with the executive leadership team to guide a major AWS cloud migration program and the modernization of complex technology infrastructures. The successful candidate will leverage their strategic leadership and technical expertise to deliver on ambitious transformation goals in a fully remote capacity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction and delivery of a major on-premises to AWS cloud migration.
- Oversee the modernization of legacy technology platforms into cloud-based solutions.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology separation strategy.
- Provide technical leadership across cloud architecture and systems integration.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Identify and manage technical dependencies and transformation risks.
- Establish technology governance and delivery frameworks with regular reporting.
- Oversee technology budgets, supplier relationships, and resource planning.
Requirements
- Previous experience in IT separation and technology carve-outs is essential.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is required.
- Proven experience as an Interim CTO or equivalent leadership role is essential.
- Demonstrable experience leading AWS cloud migration programs is necessary.
- Strong technical understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure modernization.
- Experience with large-scale technology transformation involving legacy systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills are needed.
