Overview
The Interim Director of IT will lead the technology transformation for a high-growth UK consumer brand, primarily focusing on optimizing and governing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Reporting to the CFO, the role involves enhancing business systems, establishing data governance frameworks, and improving IT service delivery. This hands-on position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to drive meaningful change within the organization's technology landscape.
Responsibilities
- Assess and optimize the usage of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across the organization.
- Lead improvements in inventory systems and processes to establish a reliable source of truth.
- Review and strengthen data governance frameworks and establish ownership of key data domains.
- Support the project management office in technology-led initiatives, ensuring robust business cases.
- Enhance IT service delivery by identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluate and improve the current cyber-security position and necessary interventions.
- Define the future organizational structure and capabilities of the technology function.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in technology within consumer, retail, FMCG or multi-channel environments.
- Strong expertise in ERP optimization, specifically with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Demonstrated record of managing complex technology and business transformation initiatives.
- Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks.
- Proficient in business process design and improvement methodologies.
- Commercial experience in managing technology suppliers and outsourced partnerships.
- Solid understanding of cyber-security and technology risk management.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple departments including Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.
