Overview
The Interim NetSuite Migration Lead will oversee a critical transition of finance infrastructure from Xero to Oracle NetSuite, ensuring all elements of the migration are executed smoothly within a three-month timeframe. This role requires collaboration with the internal finance team to enhance their self-sufficiency post-migration, utilizing AI tools and automation to optimize processes throughout the project.
Responsibilities
- Own the migration architecture, chart of accounts design, segment hierarchy, and data transformation from Xero to NetSuite.
- Conduct sandbox trial runs, log/clear defects, and reconcile trial balances, AR/AP ageing, and deferred revenue schedules.
- Rebuild key business integration points, including the interface with Salesforce.
- Utilize practical AI tools to streamline data cleaning, transformation, and draft documentation while maintaining strict control boundaries.
- Walk the finance team through sandbox environments, co-deliver the first NetSuite month-end, and provide audit-ready documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Xero to NetSuite migration, having completed at least one project hands-on through to go-live.
- Advanced technical skills in Excel, SQL, Python, or equivalent transformation scripting languages.
- Strong understanding of multi-currency, multi-entity UK statutory reporting and audit standards.
- Demonstrated application of AI tools in finance or data migration projects.
