Overview
This role is for an Interim Packaging Specialist to lead high-priority packaging development and optimization projects for a rapidly growing consumer brand. The individual will work closely with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and senior stakeholders to translate technical packaging requirements into practical, scalable solutions, while driving compliance and efficiency in packaging operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical validation and implementation of packaging redesign projects.
- Oversee the rollout of new packaging solutions and optimize specifications.
- Audit and manage technical packaging data for UK Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance.
- Support product launches by managing packaging technical validation processes.
- Create structured documentation and standards for packaging specifications.
- Engage manufacturing partners in packaging trials and validation processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure premium customer experience and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in packaging development within FMCG, beauty, or similar industries.
- Technical knowledge of packaging materials and components, including glass and closures.
- Experience with packaging testing, validation, and implementation processes.
- Familiarity with UK EPR compliance and packaging data requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on approach to work with a focus on detail and execution.
