Overview
The Lead Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in the execution of electrical engineering projects within the energy sector. Working collaboratively with a diverse team, this position focuses on maintaining high standards of safety and quality while managing project deliverables and client relationships. The engineer will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Execute project work in accordance with Discipline Design Instructions, safety, and quality control procedures.
- Produce deliverables such as Base of Design, Specifications, and Electrical System studies using ETAP.
- Participate in meetings and prepare progress reports while ensuring adherence to project change management processes.
- Provide technical advice during procurement and oversee requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
- Design motor protection and control schematics/wiring diagrams, ensuring compliance with national and international electrical codes.
- Review vendor designs for technical specifications and standards compliance.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of local and international electrical codes and standards, including Aramco SAES.
- Proficiency in electrical design tools, including ETAP, for system analysis and design.
- Experience in project management and understanding of change management processes.
- Ability to effectively prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teams and clients.
