Overview
As a Lead Technology Consultant specializing in Data Platforms, you will serve as the technical lead for client projects, collaborating with a small engineering team and key client stakeholders. Your role will involve owning the technical solutions and architecture, ensuring high-quality standards, and fostering strong client relationships, all while guiding the team in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical solution and architecture for client data platform projects.
- Lead daily stand-ups and challenge technical decisions as necessary.
- Set and enforce engineering standards, including the release process and platform security.
- Identify and mitigate risks early while managing competing priorities.
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients, setting clear expectations.
- Ensure solutions are maintainable and supported long-term through managed services.
- Provide clear and concise reporting internally and to clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Lead Consultant on data or cloud platform projects.
- Strong architectural knowledge of modern cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience working in regulated environments emphasizing security and governance.
- Ability to convey technical issues clearly to non-technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, reliable, and proactive.
- Experience in dynamic consultancy or start-up environments.
