Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Machine Learning Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for building and validating machine learning models for valuation, client lifetime value, recommendations, and image understanding. You will work closely with developer teams to turn these models into reliable production services, while ensuring proper experiment tracking and version control throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Build and validate machine learning models for various applications including client lifetime value and recommendations.
- Explore and preprocess data to ensure quality and relevance for model development.
- Turn developed models into production services utilized by developer teams across the business.
- Implement clean experiment tracking and version control practices to support reproducibility.
- Monitor and retrain models as necessary to maintain performance post-deployment.
- Communicate results and insights to non-technical stakeholders through effective visualisation.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and the standard modelling and analysis stack.
- Hands-on experience with classical regression and other supervised models.
- Experience with customer lifetime value modelling, recommender systems, or deep learning.
- Solid validation practices, including knowledge of evaluation metrics and identifying data leakage.
- Experience in deploying models to production with monitoring and retraining capabilities.
- Ability to explain complex results to non-technical colleagues using effective data visualisation.
