Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on digital process development and provide technical support during shifts to ensure the delivery of high-quality, production-ready manufacturing solutions. This role involves taking ownership of complex mill-turn machining processes from inception to stable production, with an emphasis on maintaining high technical standards. The engineer will also collaborate closely with operators to optimize programming and assist in resolving any production challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital processes for manufacturing solutions.
- Provide structured verification for production-ready outputs.
- Support production shifts with direct technical assistance.
- Program multi-tasking mill-turn machining processes from concept to stable production.
- Write production plans and validate complex programs with operators.
- Uphold technical discipline within the machining function.
- Optimize and troubleshoot programs for various machine types.
- Assist in training operators on new processes and equipment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience programming with SolidCAM; knowledge of other CAM packages is a plus.
- Proficiency in Vericut for program verification.
- Experience with Fanuc and Mazatrol control systems.
- Ability to write ISO code for various machining processes.
- Experience with Mazak Integrex and Variaxis machines, including 3+2 and 5-axis setups.
- Familiarity with older machines like 2-axis lathes, horizontals, Pumas, Doosans, and Matsuuras.
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule with overtime availability.
