Overview
We are seeking a mid-level UX Designer for a contract role focused on enhancing the user interface and experience of an enterprise AI platform. In this position, you will collaborate directly with a Design Engineer to support design initiatives through research, reviews, and redesign efforts. This role is essential for delivering an optimal product experience for the platform's initial enterprise customer within a fast-paced, small team environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Design Engineer to define design direction.
- Conduct user research, recruit participants, and analyze findings.
- Redesign user flows to improve the platform's UI/UX.
- Create clear documentation of design recommendations for team use.
- Support design efforts with a focus on strong execution and user-centric principles.
- Utilize AI tools and LLMs for designing and prototyping.
- Apply information architecture principles and ensure WCAG compliance.
- Contribute to workflow and data-heavy product design, if applicable.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mid-level UX Designer in enterprise or B2B software environments.
- Background in regulated industries like financial services, fintech, healthcare, or pharma.
- Experience in planning and executing user research activities.
- Strong information architecture skills with knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
- Proficiency in using design tools, particularly Figma.
- Ability to produce clear and effective documentation.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, small team setting without dedicated research operations support.
- Experience in designing workflows, orchestration, or AI-related products is a plus.
