Overview
We are seeking a Mobile App Tech Lead with expertise in React Native to guide the technical direction of mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms within a prominent organization. This position offers an opportunity to take charge of architecture and engineering governance while collaborating with a skilled internal team and external vendors. The role emphasizes effective communication and relationship-building, ensuring seamless integration with backend teams and supporting the successful deployment of the mobile portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Own the mobile architecture, integration, and engineering governance end to end.
- Review external vendor delivery, focusing on solution quality and technical risk.
- Act as the key liaison between the delivery partner and internal backend/platform teams, agreeing on API contracts.
- Lead technical discovery and feasibility work alongside Product teams, BAs, and designers.
- Define the mobile testing strategy and oversee quality controls.
- Represent the mobile product in technical governance and planning forums.
- Mentor engineers and foster a culture of rapid delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading architecture and delivery of React Native apps for iOS and Android.
- Strong technical leadership skills, including setting architecture and defining engineering standards.
- Experience in overseeing code quality and governance.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced project environment.
- Vendor oversight experience is beneficial but not essential.
