Overview
We are seeking experienced Senior Node.js Contractors to support a rapidly growing digital business focused on enhancing its engineering capabilities. The successful candidates will join a high-performing product team and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Platform teams to address complex engineering challenges. This role is ideal for polyglot engineers who are skilled in multiple programming languages and have a strong foundation in software engineering principles.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve high-scale backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design clean, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Platform teams to deliver solutions.
- Contribute to architectural design and technical decision-making processes.
- Write high-quality and well-tested code to ensure robust applications.
- Mentor junior engineers and advocate for engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience in building distributed, cloud-native applications.
- Polyglot mindset with exposure to programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, C#, or Kotlin.
- Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience working in modern Agile product teams.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
