Planning Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Planning Engineer with expertise in offshore wind and Transportation & Installation (T&I) projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Planning Manager and the Project Controls team to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with contractual standards and project requirements. This role is ideal for those with significant experience in major offshore construction projects, particularly in the offshore Oil & Gas and wind sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project schedules in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Review schedule feasibility, identifying constraints and critical activities.
  • Implement and maintain project planning and progress control systems.
  • Monitor progress against the baseline and report any deviations.
  • Create and manage 90-day look-ahead, weekly, and monthly schedules.
  • Support project status and progress reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams to maintain schedule awareness.
  • Assist with contract amendments and claims through time impact analysis.

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Planning Engineer on major offshore construction projects.
  • Proven background in Offshore Wind projects and/or Offshore Oil & Gas Installation.
  • Experience in tendering and bid-stage planning.
  • Familiarity with Transportation & Installation (T&I) projects.
  • Knowledge of schedule impacts, variations, and time impact analysis.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as HNC, HND, or degree in engineering or project controls.
