Overview
The Principal AI Consultant will play a pivotal role in enhancing the AI delivery capabilities of a leading financial institution by shaping and executing cutting-edge enterprise AI solutions. This position involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and engineering teams to bring innovative AI-powered trading recommendations to life, ensuring compliance with governance and model-risk requirements in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of AI projects from concept to production.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project goals and requirements.
- Deliver hands-on technical solutions aligned with enterprise governance and model validation.
- Engage with engineering teams to implement AI systems in a production environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks in the financial sector.
- Provide expertise in machine learning, feature engineering, and AI orchestration.
- Monitor and validate models to maintain accuracy and compliance within trading applications.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in engineering or data science roles.
- Proven track record of deploying commercial AI/ML systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with large language models, RAG, and AI orchestration workflows.
- Familiarity with model validation, explainability, and enterprise governance.
- Ability to lead complex technical discussions and engage with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in capital markets, trading, or Tier-1 banking is a strong advantage.
