Overview
The Project Manager will oversee the delivery of a large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project over a 12-month period. This role involves coordinating multiple facets of project management including engineering, procurement, construction, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project completion from initial construction through to handover.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall EPC delivery of the solar PV and BESS project.
- Manage programme, budget, resources, and project delivery through all phases.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Manage project requirements, specifications, timelines, and deliverables.
- Oversee procurement, materials, costs, and subcontractor performance.
- Monitor project progress, forecasts, and construction programmes.
- Lead client, contractor, and stakeholder meetings; provide regular progress reports.
- Ensure QHSE requirements are maintained throughout the project.
Requirements
- 10+ years of project management experience in construction, energy, or infrastructure.
- Strong experience delivering utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
- Experience managing EPC projects through construction and handover.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, HSE, and project delivery.
- Experience managing subcontractors, budgets, and programmes.
- Proficient with MS Project and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification; Project Management qualification desirable.
