Overview
We are seeking a contract Product Manager to play a crucial role in a global brand's central data team, focusing on enhancing the supply chain function. The position involves driving the execution of a pre-defined roadmap while collaborating with offshore engineering teams and managing stakeholder priorities across different business units. This role requires a proactive approach to storytelling and execution, bridging the gap between technical and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Drive delivery of the supply chain roadmap, ensuring projects remain on track and removing obstacles proactively.
- Write clear tickets detailing the objectives and rationale for each request, maintaining an organized Jira backlog.
- Collaborate daily with an offshore engineering team to monitor progress and ensure accountability.
- Engage with internal stakeholders across supply chain and other business teams, managing various time zone differences.
- Make priority trade-offs among competing requests from stakeholders with differing perspectives.
- Communicate the vision and roadmap effectively to both business and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail or eCommerce is essential.
- Extensive background in product management, agile delivery, or project management.
- Experience working with a diverse range of internal stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Familiarity with collaborating with offshore teams and navigating time zone challenges.
- Working knowledge of a modern data stack, including Snowflake and dbt, with a strong emphasis on fluency over engineering skills.
- Proficient in using Jira and possess effective communication skills for clear and direct interactions.
- Immediate availability for this role is required.
