Overview
The Freelance Project Manager will oversee a significant groundworks package for a large industrial project. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating site teams, and ensuring that the project is delivered safely and on schedule. The successful candidate will work closely with onsite personnel and clients throughout the duration of the assignment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of a £10m groundworks package for an industrial unit.
- Coordinate site teams and resources effectively.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards on site.
- Oversee project programming and site coordination activities.
- Liaise with clients and facilitate site meetings.
- Supervise the work of Site Managers, Foremen, labour, and subcontractors.
- Monitor quality control and project milestones.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Agent in civil engineering or groundworks.
- Track record of delivering large-scale groundworks projects, preferably in industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of programme management and site coordination.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Effective communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Experience managing personnel, including Site Managers and subcontractors.
