Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical infrastructure initiative involving the installation of high-voltage cables across multiple boroughs in London. The role encompasses overseeing complex coordination among various teams, utility companies, and stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and with minimal disruption.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of high-voltage cable installation across multiple London boroughs.
- Coordinate multiple work streams including excavation, joint bay installation, and utility company activities.
- Manage relationships with local authorities, utility partners, residents, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
- Implement strategies to minimize community impact and improve project efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven project management experience in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical works and underground cable systems.
- Experience coordinating multiple contractors and utility companies on complex projects.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills in urban environments.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and risk management abilities.
- Preferred qualifications: PMP or PRINCE2 certification, and a background in construction management, civil or electrical engineering.
