Overview
The Project Manager will lead critical business transformation initiatives within a commodities trading organization, specifically focusing on Middle and Back Office functions. In this role, the candidate will collaborate closely with technology and business stakeholders to enhance operational processes related to Treasury, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting, while driving project execution and aligning outcomes with the organization’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope and gather business requirements.
- Develop delivery plans and manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Coordinate activities across internal teams and external partners.
- Support process reviews, gap analysis, and system implementation activities.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to communicate project progress and resolve issues.
- Ensure that projects align with wider organizational objectives and deliver effective solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in business change or technology projects, ideally within commodities or energy trading.
- Strong understanding of Middle and Back Office functions, especially related to Treasury and Risk management.
- Experience with project delivery in an Agile environment.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with system implementation processes, including UAT and deployment planning.
