Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in retail to lead the deployment of MDM and Range Management solutions. In this hybrid role, the contractor will coordinate efforts between technical and business teams, ensuring successful project execution while minimizing operational disruption. The position requires immediate availability and offers a six-month engagement with a focus on managing deployment risks and overseeing cutover strategies.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute comprehensive cutover strategies, runbooks, and readiness assessments.
- Coordinate business and technical deployment activities, managing sequence logic and critical path dependencies.
- Validate environment, platform, and operational readiness alongside testing sign-offs prior to launch.
- Direct dress rehearsals, go/no-go checkpoints, communication protocols, and escalation paths.
- Establish rollback procedures and contingency recovery frameworks to mitigate deployment risks.
- Lead post-deployment transitions, completing handover evidence and managing the route into hypercare.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience coordinating enterprise-level software deployments and system cutovers.
- Deep expertise in constructing detailed runbooks, technical dependency maps, and deployment timelines.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, consulting across technical, operational, and business units.
- Experience establishing acceptance criteria, go/no-go governance, and hyper care transitions.
- Proven ability to assess inputs such as data migration plans, infrastructure readiness, and test sign-offs to produce clear strategic outputs.
