Security Architect

Overview

The Security Architect will play a crucial role in supporting a highly sensitive technology program within a secure environment. The contractor will leverage their extensive experience to provide security architecture expertise across complex, business-critical systems, collaborating with multiple technologies, suppliers, and delivery teams to shape the program’s security direction and ensure comprehensive risk management. This position requires a current DV clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security architecture expertise across complex systems.
  • Shape the security direction of the program through detailed assessments.
  • Produce and assure high-level and low-level technical designs.
  • Collaborate with multiple suppliers and delivery partners on major technology programs.
  • Lead technical discussions and architecture governance sessions.
  • Influence senior decision-makers through effective stakeholder management.
  • Assess technical proposals and deliver clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Ensure proper consideration of risks and protection requirements throughout design and implementation.

Requirements

  • Current DV clearance is essential for this role.
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Security Architect in regulated environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, and security technologies.
  • Proven experience in producing high-level and low-level technical designs.
  • Deep understanding of security architecture and technical risk management.
  • Experience in identity and access management, information protection, and secure connectivity.
  • Ability to lead design reviews and architecture governance sessions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management abilities.
