Overview
The Senior AI Engineer will collaborate with a dynamic team to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI systems utilized in high-stakes operational environments. This role involves taking ownership of architecture and development processes for production-ready agentic AI systems, ensuring their reliability and performance in demanding scenarios. Working in a hybrid arrangement, the contractor will engage in both onsite and remote activities while contributing to significant projects that influence decision-making across various sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production-ready agentic AI systems.
- Take ownership of system architecture and multi-agent workflows.
- Develop retrieval and reasoning pipelines for robust AI integrations.
- Implement deployment strategies to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Optimize AI solutions based on operational performance metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical goals with business needs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Demonstrable experience deploying LLM-based or agentic AI systems in production.
- Strong Python development skills.
- Commercial experience with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or Haystack.
- Experience designing scalable AI/ML architectures and solutions.
- Proficiency in Docker, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Knowledge of retrieval and search architectures, embeddings, and vector databases.
- Experience working with large-scale multimodal datasets, including text and imagery.
