Overview
The Senior Azure Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in the operation, administration, and development of a modern Microsoft Azure data platform over a 6-month contract period. This position requires a highly skilled Azure Data Specialist to enhance enterprise cloud data services, collaborating closely with team members and stakeholders while working in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the operation and administration of the Microsoft Azure data platform.
- Manage and improve enterprise cloud data services.
- Implement and optimize Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks processes.
- Provide operational support for Azure SQL and Power BI environments.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for deployment processes.
- Collaborate with teams on controlled deployment using Azure DevOps.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements in regulated environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL.
- Strong background in operational support and administration of data platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Databricks and Power BI is essential.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and deployment environments.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform is preferred.
- Current, lapsed, or eligible SC Clearance is required.
- Experience in working within secure or highly regulated environments is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills related to cloud data services.
