Overview
The Senior C# Engineer will play a pivotal role in the architecture and development of a greenfield B2B SaaS platform, focusing on high-performance distributed systems and leveraging AWS serverless technologies. Working closely with the Director of Engineering, this role emphasizes backend engineering excellence and offers an opportunity to utilize cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools. The position is fully remote and suitable for an experienced engineer seeking to make significant contributions to a major product build.
Responsibilities
- Architect complex, high-performance distributed services using C#/.NET 8/9 on AWS Lambda.
- Design and implement resilient event-driven systems with SQS and AWS messaging services.
- Own product features from conception through to delivery, managing scope and trade-offs.
- Create clean, well-documented, and versioned APIs to enhance developer experience.
- Promote a high-quality engineering culture through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and best practices.
- Develop hands-on expertise with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code.
Requirements
- Demonstrated senior-level expertise in C# and .NET 9/10, with proficiency in architecting distributed REST microservices.
- Deep knowledge of AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
- Experience in designing event-driven systems in SQS with a focus on resilience and operational best practices.
- Strong understanding of data management with Aurora MySQL and DynamoDB, including schema design and query optimization.
- Experienced in API design with a focus on versioning, documentation, and developer experience.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a product-centric environment.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows, CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, and infrastructure as code (CDK/Terraform).
