Overview
As a Senior Data Analyst and Data Delivery Lead, you'll serve as a vital connection between business stakeholders and data engineering teams within a sporting organization. This hands-on role involves driving the delivery of a strategic data and analytics roadmap while managing stakeholder engagement and shaping project requirements to ensure initiatives deliver significant business value. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, refine solutions, and guide distributed teams through complex data projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder engagement and manage communication between business and data teams.
- Shape project requirements and solutions based on stakeholder input.
- Prioritize initiatives and manage dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.
- Oversee complex enterprise data projects from discovery through delivery.
- Facilitate workshops and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Provide strategic direction on data architecture and best practices in data governance.
- Drive Agile delivery, managing backlogs and risks associated with data initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in data delivery, analytics, or solution architecture.
- Proven track record leading complex enterprise data initiatives.
- Strong experience in stakeholder management and client engagement.
- Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills.
- Proficiency with modern data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Snowflake.
- Deep understanding of data architecture, governance, and data quality practices.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and managing priorities in a collaborative environment.
- Commercially focused mindset with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
