Overview
We are seeking a Senior JavaScript Engineer with a robust backend focus to join a mission-driven B2B start-up dedicated to addressing the skills gap in the transition to a greener economy. This remote position allows the successful candidate to work closely with the Technical Lead and a small team, taking significant ownership of backend architecture, data, APIs, and product development, while contributing to the evolution of an innovative learning and development platform.
Responsibilities
- Build new products and features end-to-end.
- Develop backend services and APIs in TypeScript.
- Design data models and manage PostgreSQL databases.
- Create third-party integrations.
- Contribute to Next.js applications.
- Help transition core technology in-house.
- Develop AI/LLM-driven product capabilities.
- Make architectural decisions in collaboration with the Technical Lead.
Requirements
- Strong experience in TypeScript and backend development.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL/SQL and data modeling.
- Experience with APIs and integration processes.
- Demonstrated capability to own features end-to-end.
- Comfort with working autonomously in a start-up environment.
- Availability for immediate start or within a week.
- Familiarity with Supabase and AI/LLM products is a plus.
