Overview
The Transformation Portfolio Director will oversee a significant portfolio of transformation programs within the insurance sector during an 18-month contract. This senior role involves close collaboration with the executive leadership team to ensure effective prioritization, governance, and sequencing of initiatives, while leading the Change Board to approve investment cases. The successful candidate will manage a broad portfolio that includes various areas such as finance, operations, technology, and organizational integration, ensuring initiatives focus on delivering maximum value to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the governance of transformation initiatives through the Change Board.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish an integrated view of organizational change.
- Prioritize and sequence transformation programs to align with business objectives.
- Monitor dependencies and critical paths within the transformation portfolio.
- Facilitate the preparation and approval of investment cases from business units.
- Support the development of integrated transformation roadmaps.
- Challenge and influence senior leadership on strategic priorities and investments.
- Drive benefits realization and portfolio governance best practices.
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading complex, enterprise-wide transformation portfolios.
- Demonstrated expertise in portfolio governance and investment prioritization.
- Proficient in building and managing integrated transformation roadmaps.
- Strong credibility to engage with Board and senior leadership stakeholders.
- Experience operating across multiple business units and transformation programs.
- Background in the insurance industry or similarly regulated financial services environments.
