Overview
The Senior Power BI Developer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive reporting and analytics solutions primarily focused on Finance and Retail data streams. This role involves overseeing the entire Power BI lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders, and integrating complex data systems. Working in a hybrid arrangement, the contractor will interact with various teams to develop and deploy production-ready dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Query and integrate data from Databricks, SQL Server, Azure, REST APIs, and SharePoint.
- Create advanced DAX measures and Power Query transformations to enhance decision-making.
- Manage datasets, refresh schedules, and Row-Level Security within Power BI Service.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Power BI Contractor delivering enterprise-level solutions.
- Commercial background in developing reporting solutions for Finance and Retail data.
- Advanced skills in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL (T-SQL).
- Strong data modeling expertise using Star Schema principles.
- Experience with querying Databricks structures and modern cloud data architectures.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
