Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee a significant renewable energy infrastructure project. This remote role requires occasional site and head office visits, and involves leading complex HV transmission, offshore wind, and grid connection projects. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams and key client relationships, playing a critical role in the transition to a net-zero energy future.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of major HV transmission and renewable energy infrastructure projects.
- Take full responsibility for project execution regarding safety, programme, cost, quality, and commercial performance.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams throughout engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and key project stakeholders.
- Establish effective project controls, governance, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies to maximize project performance.
- Drive Health, Safety, and Environmental excellence across all project activities.
- Ensure successful project close-out, documentation, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering large-scale HV transmission, substation, offshore wind, or HVDC infrastructure projects.
- Excellent understanding of HV substation construction and associated civil works.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience administering major engineering or construction contracts.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Demonstrable knowledge of project controls, programme management, risk management, and governance.
- Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; Professional Project Management qualification (APM, PMP or equivalent) is desirable.
