Overview
We are seeking a Senior Python Developer for a 6-month contract position with potential for extension. The successful candidate will join a small, highly technical team, taking end-to-end ownership of backend systems and the AWS environment. This hybrid role requires working onsite three days a week, contributing to an innovative and growing business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Python and Django.
- Manage AWS infrastructure with an emphasis on production ownership.
- Implement infrastructure as code practices using Terraform.
- Run and optimize asynchronous workloads in a production environment.
- Collaborate closely with team members to drive project success.
- Ensure high standards of code quality through testing and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience with backend engineering, specifically in Python and Django.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, and S3.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and workload management.
- Strong understanding of production systems and deployment practices.
- Degree in engineering or mathematics, ideally at Master's level.
