Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will join a contract team working to modernize a leading insurer's core platform using the EIS Suite. This role involves hands-on development, integrating with external systems, and collaborating in an Agile environment with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of critical projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure components across the EIS Suite including PolicyCore, BillingCore, and ClaimCore.
- Build integrations with external systems, including payment gateways and data platforms.
- Participate in Agile development processes alongside BAs, testers, and architects from design to release.
- Conduct code reviews, demos, and engage in technical discussions.
- Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on development experience with the EIS Suite or EIS OneSuite.
- Strong proficiency in Java, including frameworks like Spring, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience integrating core insurance platforms with third-party systems.
- Familiarity with Property & Casualty (P&C), life insurance, or group benefits insurance.
- Comfortable working within Agile delivery environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Experience with other core insurance platforms like Guidewire or Duck Creek is preferred.
- Experience with greenfield projects or major upgrades on EIS v12+ is advantageous.
