Overview
This role is for a Solutions Architect specializing in data and cloud migration, focused on a significant project for a marketplace platform. The successful candidate will lead the design and execution of the target-state data architecture on AWS, ensuring a seamless migration process with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Collaboration with a dedicated team will be necessary as the project includes innovative workflows and high-volume performance targets.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end data migration process on AWS.
- Design the target-state data architecture to support the marketplace.
- Develop a migration plan, including dependency mapping and cutover sequencing.
- Implement data cleansing and reconciliation strategies throughout the migration.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure minimal downtime during cutover events.
- Collaborate on high-level architecture and research-led solutions for the project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data and cloud migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with AWS for designing data architecture.
- Strong competence in migration planning including rollbacks and low-downtime strategies.
- Familiarity with high-volume marketplace platforms is advantageous.
