Overview
The Solutions Architect will play a critical role in a major data and cloud migration project for a large-scale marketplace platform. This position involves owning the target-state data architecture on AWS and managing the full migration process without disrupting the operational environment. The contractor will collaborate closely with the client to ensure the successful implementation of advanced features while maintaining a focus on minimizing downtime during the transition.
Responsibilities
- Design target-state data architecture on AWS.
- Plan and execute end-to-end data migration strategies.
- Manage dependency mapping and cutover sequencing.
- Oversee data cleansing and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure low-downtime migration while maintaining platform performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for effective workshops and meetings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data and cloud migration projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS data architecture.
- Expertise in migration planning, including dependency mapping and reconciliation methods.
- Demonstrated ability in executing low-downtime migrations at scale.
- Experience in ecommerce platforms is a plus.
