Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Rust and Java.
- Build and maintain high-performance, reliable systems focused on clean architecture.
- Develop customer-facing applications with React, ensuring modern user experiences.
- Contribute to backend services and APIs using Python.
- Take ownership of complex features from design through to production.
- Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to deliver impactful functionalities.
- Influence engineering standards and architectural decisions across the platform.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools for coding, refactoring, and ensuring quality throughout the development process.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Senior or Staff-level Full Stack/Backend Engineer in production environments.
- Strong backend experience with both Rust and Java, ideally with practical knowledge of both.
- Solid understanding of concurrent programming and distributed systems.
- Practical experience developing modern applications using React.
- Hands-on working experience with Python for backend services and APIs.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and scalable architecture.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools in a software engineering context.
- A proactive contractor mindset: quick onboarding and ability to deliver value swiftly.
