Overview
In this contract role, you will join a remote-first mobile platform team dedicated to enhancing a UK government app. You will collaborate with QA and backend engineers to build and improve core features of the Android application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Your contributions will ensure the app's stability while integrating features developed by other teams, all in a supportive digital product consultancy environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve common parts of the Android app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Integrate features developed by other teams into the app.
- Conduct code reviews for your work and for others in the team.
- Monitor Crashlytics for any app crashes and resolve issues as needed.
- Collaborate with QA and backend engineers to mitigate technical risks early.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in native Android development.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience using Crashlytics for app stability.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, fast-paced team.
