Overview

The Business Central Functional Consultant (Finance & Operations) will play a pivotal role in the implementation of a new ERP platform within a major UK industrial services group. The consultant will engage closely with stakeholders to drive process design and ensure successful adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, focusing on finance and operational enhancements across multiple entities. This 12-month contract position offers a hybrid working arrangement, balancing remote work with required on-site activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead key workstreams throughout the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation.
  • Drive process design and stakeholder engagement for successful ERP adoption.
  • Facilitate workshops and engagements with senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with finance processes, including General Ledger and Accounts Payable.
  • Manage multi-entity operational requirements and reporting capabilities.
  • Support the creation of a scalable operating model for future growth.
  • Engage in approval workflows and master data management activities.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations.
  • Strong expertise in finance processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Proven track record of leading ERP deployment workstreams.
  • Experience in running stakeholder workshops and managing senior-level engagement.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering finance transformation initiatives.
  • Highly desirable knowledge of 4PS, Nvision, or Eque2 software.
  • Familiarity with construction, engineering, or industrial services sectors.
  • Background in multi-entity ERP deployments and acquisition-led business environments.
